Ottmar Liebert’s global success can be attributed to a myriad of things – his creative vision, his determination, and a strong sense of melody. Born in Cologne, Germany, he began playing guitar at 11. Before the age of 19, Liebert had intended to stay in Germany and pursue a career as a designer and photographer. However, while journeying extensively through Asia and playing with other travelers and local musicians, he realized that he could not escape a life of music. After pursuing his dreams of playing rock music in Boston, he settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe was a fresh start for Liebert in many ways and in addition to returning to the acoustic guitar, he remained open to letting the place define the music he made. It was this openness to the local landscape that defined what was to become his musical style, a mix of Spanish, Mexican and World elements, strong melodies tinged with a shade of melancholy, balanced with upbeat rhythms.

Liebert has since become one of the most successful instrumental artists of the past decades, entertaining audiences around the world and releasing a catalog of 33 classic albums including live recordings, an orchestral album for Sony Classical, a binaural surround sound recording, remix albums, a lullaby and a flamenco-reggae album. During his career, he has played more than two thousand concerts worldwide. Ottmar Liebert and Luna Negra have played two concerts with the New Mexico Philharmonic featuring Liebert’s music arranged by bassist, Jon Gagan. These two concerts, to date, have broken attendance records for the New Mexico Philharmonic. Ottmar Liebert has been nominated for five Grammy awards.

Multi-platinum American rockers, HINDER, continue to drive a career of longevity that few bands achieve. As one of the few bands to grab massive cross-over success, HINDER’s 2005 debut album, Extreme Behavior, climbed to #6 on the Billboard 200 chart and was the 2nd Top Rock Album. Get Stoned would be the album’s first radio single, climbing to a #4 mainstream rock spot. What followed would end up being one of the biggest songs of the year, Lips of an Angel, which peaked within the top 10 across several Billboard singles charts, including #1 at Top 40 and Pop 100. Extreme Behavior has since been certified 3x Platinum. In 2008 their sophomore effort, Take It To The Limit, surpassed their debut by peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200 and hitting the Mainstream Rock chart at #3 with single Use Me. This solidified HINDER as the biggest new breakout rock act and catapulting them into packed arenas worldwide with the likes of Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Papa Roach, and many others. HINDER proved consistent record hit making by following up with a #1 Top Modern Rock/Alternative Album, All American Nightmare (LP 3), and a #3 Top Hard Rock Album, Welcome To The Freakshow (LP 5).

He started playing tenor sax in high school, and then migrated to soprano sax. His passion for various types of music led him down an eclectic musical path. Meadows first hit the airwaves in 1991 with “For Lovers Only”, but his career really began one day in the late ‘80s at New York’s Grand Central Station. He had been a sideman with Connors for three years, with only vague notions of eventually going solo. One day, while waiting for a train, he pulled out his horn and began playing under the huge dome. His sweet sound caught the attention of fellow traveler, producer and TV composer Jay Chattaway, who happened to be passing by on his way to the train. Chattaway was so impressed with Meadows’ sound that he hooked Meadows up with legendary keyboardist Bob James. Meadows and James collaborated on a recording that unfortunately went unreleased. The experience put him on the road to his eventual success. Meadows hooked up with numerous artists and musicians and became a well-known sideman in his own right, recording or performing over the years with Brook Benton, Eartha Kitt, Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carne, The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Angela Bofill, Will Downing, Bob Baldwin, Chuck Loeb, John Lee, among many others.

Brian Simpson

After graduating from Northern Illinois University, keyboardist and composer Brian Simpson relocated to Los Angeles where he was soon playing alongside musicians Gerald Albright and Norman Brown and eventually on a world tour with Janet Jackson. In 1990 Simpson received a call from George Duke that led to a decade of touring and production work with the late jazz legend. It was his tenure with George that led to working with a variety of artists, from James Ingram and Anita Baker to Dave Koz and Wayman Tisdale. The popularity of his music world wide has kept Mr. Simpson on a seemingly endless world tour which in 2019 included Japan, Australia, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, and South Africa. With writing and performing credits on R&B chart-topping albums and Smooth Jazz Airplay charts, it’s clear why Brian is the veteran Music Director of so many jazz events. Brian is a recording artist with Shanachie Entertainment which released his eleventh CD entitled Soul Connection (2023).

Jessy J

With the release of TERRANOVA, top contemporary jazz saxophonist Jessy J continues to add magical musical milestones to a celebrated career spanning 17 years. With eight chart topping Billboard albums, 13 top singles, a strong Spotify presence and sold-out world tours, her unique artistry has established her as one of the most in-demand and sought-after saxophonists in the genre. TERRANOVA reunites Jessy with multi-GRAMMY·-winning producer Paul Brown for their fifth studio album together. It was Brown who produced her 2008 debut hit album Tequila Moon and for TERRANOVA they’ve created an exciting 8-song sequel showcasing her sweet spot of blending contemporary jazz with a sensual Latin flair.

Nearly 4 decades ago, the four original members of Blues Traveler — John Popper, Chandler Kinchla, Brendan Hill, and the late Bobby Sheehan — gathered in their drummer’s parents’ basement in Princeton, NJ, to jam. From these high school sessions emerged a band that would go on to release a total of 14 studio albums, four of which have gone gold, three platinum, and one six-times platinum, selling more than 10 million combined units worldwide.

Over an illustrious career, Blues Traveler has played more than 2,000 live shows in front of over 30 million people and, with “Run-Around,” achieved the longest-charting radio single in Billboard history — earning the band a GRAMMY® for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. In 2021, Blues Traveler released the GRAMMY®-nominated Traveler’s Blues (Round Hill Records), a collection of reimagined and recharged classics from the American blues songbook and the group’s first official blues album. The second release in this series, 2023’s Traveler’s Soul, takes a similar approach, consisting of cover songs from a specific genre — this time classic R&B and soul.

Switchfoot have spent nearly three decades cementing their place as one of the genre’s most enduring and impactful acts. With over 10 million albums sold, including their 3x Platinum breakthrough The Beautiful Letdown and GRAMMY Award-winning Hello Hurricane, the beloved band has built a global following through emotionally resonant songwriting and electrifying live performances, selling more than five million tickets across 40+ countries. With a renewed focus on the present moment, the band delivers their first record in five years, Forever Now – their fourteenth studio album, due June 26. A bold, guitar-driven return to their classic sound, the project serves as their most thematic and narrative-driven work to date, centering on the emotional roller coaster of a person’s final day on Earth. Produced by longtime collaborator Mike Elizondo, Forever Now captures the band’s rekindled love of “big guitars, big hooks and big themes,” while pushing their storytelling to new heights. Beyond the music, Switchfoot continues to make a meaningful impact through their Bro-Am Foundation, which has raised over $3 million over the past 20 years to support at-risk youth in the band’s hometown of San Diego. Switchfoot has always called themselves a band of brothers – Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Boaz Roberts (guitar), Jerome Fontamillas (keys/guitar) and Chad Butler (drums).

Queen Nation is the West Coast’s longest running most authentic fully costumed re- creation of a Vintage Queen concert. The show consists of four musicians who all sing and perform in character and in period costumes while playing live note-for-note renditions of Classic Queen songs. Featured front man Vocalist Gregory Finsley who is an amazing singer with an uncanny tone that matches the late great Freddie Mercury to a tee. Gregory also is an excellent concert trained pianist which allows him to accurately re- create what Freddie Mercury magically did live on stage in Queen’s original four piece lineup. Queen Nation has been crowned by their loyal legions of fans as “The People’s Choice Tribute to Queen Champions” and rightly so because arguably they are one of the hardest working tribute bands in the US. They did 150 shows across the US in 2019 alone. They have also been blessed by being recently inducted into the California Music Hall of Fames 2020 inaugural class. And voted The Best Live! Band at the 2020 VCMA’s.

Over the course of crafting a 29-album catalog and architecting 40 Billboard #1 singles as a keyboardist, songwriter and producer, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Label him jazz and he makes a funk record. Call him an R&B artist and he drops an acoustic jazz trio collection. Brand him pop and he creates a 32-minute New Age opus. And you’d be hard pressed to name another instrumentalist of his ilk who can mount an elaborately designed concert production that will keep him on the road for three consecutive months. Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. “Long Night Out” landed him a lengthy record deal and signaled that a star was born. Flash forward to present day, Culbertson has been going back and listening more and more to music that inspired him as a young musician such as David Sanborn, The Brecker Bros, Chick Corea, Al Jarreau, Pat Metheny, and others in the jazz fusion world. “It instantly brought me back to the days of ‘no rules’ and the pure joy of music, something that I think a lot of albums today are lacking. With that said, I set out to write and produce a new album that would try to capture a little bit of that late 70’s and early 80’s spirit of music exploration, along with using only live musicians and real instruments. Similar in style to “Another Long Night Out”, “Day Trip” is the daytime version!” said Culbertson. Possessing style, panache, and a savvy business mind capable of moving the needle in music and beyond, Culbertson founded and curates the annual Napa Valley, New Orleans, Hawaii, and Chicago Jazz Getaways, which have attracted guests from all over the globe to experience his premier events. Whether you’re listening to music from “Day Trip” on record or live in concert, you’re hearing an eclectic, entertaining and engaging set from an artist at the peak of his power.

She’s performed at Mindi Abair’s Wine & Jazz New Year’s Eve and Wine & Jazz Adventure in Sonoma, so the musical chemistry is already baked in.

Andréa Lisa, the South African-born, New Zealand-raised singer, guitarist, composer, and producer, is a musical powerhouse – think the heart of Alicia Keys with the guitar sensibility of John Mayer. Darryl Williams brings smooth-jazz firepower. His debut album That Was Then earned praise from JazzTimes and national airplay on SiriusXM. He’s shared stages with heavy hitters like Dave Koz, Peter White, Gerald Albright, Jonathan Butler, and of course, Mindi Abair. This isn’t just another holiday show — it’s a night that will leave you energized, moved, and truly in tune with the joy of the season. Whether you come for the songs, the shared moments, or just to be swept up in the joy of the season, this night promises to stay with you long after the last note.
